Meet our dedicated team members and their unique stories.
Originally from Ireland, Lia brings big energy, brilliant music and plenty of laughs to Monster Radio. Her journey into radio began thanks to Jonas - whom she describes as an amazing human being - and she has been making the airwaves brighter ever since.
Catch Lia on Music Has No Age every Saturday from 1pm to 3pm, where the playlist travels from the 1950s right through to the 2000s. Eclectic by nature, Lia’s shows are packed with familiar favourites, unexpected gems and songs chosen with listeners in mind.
Her musical influences are far too many to fit on one page, but include Gilbert O’Sullivan, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, B*Witched, Raye, Paolo Nutini and plenty more. Her all-time favourites include “Where Is My Husband?” by Raye, “Get Down” by Gilbert O’Sullivan, “Yellow Submarine” by The Beatles, and “Snow (Hey Oh)” by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Lia loves the craic with listeners through texts and WhatsApp, taking requests and sharing music that gets everyone involved. Funny, bubbly and proudly a little silly, she makes every show feel like a catch-up with a friend.
Away from the studio, Lia has learned Spanish and Arabic while living in Lanzarote - and still has plenty of travel adventures on her list.
