From Hackney in East London, Roy the Boy brings sunshine, soul and plenty of laughs to Monster Radio.
Roy found his way into radio through word of mouth, and he has been entertaining listeners with his feel-good sound ever since. Catch him on a Soulful Selection Show on Saturday nights and a Motown-themed show on Sunday mornings.
His musical world is packed with soul, Motown, jazz funk, soulful house and disco - the kind of music made for moving, smiling and turning the volume up. Inspired by legends including Earth, Wind & Fire, The Blackbyrds and Grover Washington Jr., Roy has far too many favourites to name.
Funny, happy and a little silly, Roy’s main aim is simple: entertain people and help them forget the stress for a while. In his words, it is all about “no stress and having a chuckle.”
