Scotty Silver
Meet our dedicated team members and their unique stories.
Scotty Silver brings a lifetime of music knowledge, personality and proper radio flair to Monster Radio. Originally from a small market town in Kent, Scotty started DJing in pubs at just 16 before progressing to clubs, celebrity weddings and the radio world.
His broadcasting journey began in 2003 on Lanzarote’s first English-speaking radio station, where he was proud to manage the station for six years. Now, Scotty hosts the Monster Brunch Show, weekdays at 10, serving up a lively mix of great music, entertaining chat and a few cheeky moments along the way.
Scotty’s taste is firmly rooted in artists and bands who play their own instruments and write their own material. He loves digging out songs listeners may not have heard before - the kind that make people stop and ask, “Wow… what was that song called?”
With influences spanning too many bands to count, from every decade since the mid-1980s, Scotty brings a knowledgeable, entertaining and cheeky style to the microphone.
Away from the studio, he has worked for ITV, including at major boxing events, where he interviewed countless champions - including being the first person to question former world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.
His guaranteed good-mood track is “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince.
