Sunny Blue
Meet our dedicated team members and their unique stories.
Originally from Reading, Berkshire, Sunny Blue has been sharing his love of music since starting out as a mobile DJ in 1974. After moving to Lanzarote in 2005, he was introduced to DK Radio - and never looked back.
Sunny hosts The Monster Blues Show every Tuesday from 7pm to 10pm, alongside Sunday Breakfast from 8am to 10.30am. His sound is built around every shade of blues and plenty of good rock, from timeless favourites to tracks listeners may not have discovered yet.
Inspired by legends including Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, Chuck Berry, The Stones and The Who, Sunny is passionate about sharing music with people who love it as much as he does. For him, the best part of being on air is introducing listeners to songs they may not have heard before.
His feel-good choice is “Statesboro Blues” by The Allman Brothers Band, especially the live version from Fillmore East.
