Meet The Count - also known as Rhys - Monster Radio’s resident musical explorer, serving up a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and definitely plenty of the unexpected.
Originally from Europe, Rhys first stepped into the Monster Radio studios to try out a show and see whether he could improve the equipment. He never quite made it back out - and radio has been all the better for it.
Catch The Who Signed Who Show every Friday night from 7pm until late, where the playlist has no limits. Expect blues, Cajun, zydeco, rock ’n’ roll, and anything with a backbeat strong enough to make you move. His rule is simple: if it’s got a great rhythm, it belongs on the show.
Inspired by the likes of George Thorogood & The Destroyers, The Count loves discovering new bands, unearthing great songs and sharing them with Monster Radio listeners. Naughty, nice and always fun, he brings plenty of personality to every show - along with a serious passion for live music.
Ask him about any band he has seen, and he will happily tell you exactly where he stood at the gig - provided you are ready to listen.
